Health And Safety

The Calgary Zoo is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for its staff, volunteers, and visitors, and for the animals in our care. To that end, the Calgary Zoo has health and safety policies in place, first aid stations located throughout the zoo, a variety of other health and safety programs for both animals and people, and many staff members who have been trained in first aid. As well, the Zoomedic Program, a partnership with the City of Calgary Emergency Medical Services, provides an on-site paramedic through the busy summer months and at special events throughout the year. Calgary Zoo Security personnel are on the job around the clock every day of the year for the safety and security of all.

If you have a health or safety concern during a visit to the zoo, please contact: (403) 232-9341.
